Pinterest is a place that provides me with much inspiration. One thing that I have seen several times before is the pin cushion on a jar, genius! You have a place for your pins and a cushion where you can safely hold them until they are needed. Every time I would see it on my home feed, I'd pin it. Finally, after getting the perfect sized jar, I decided it was time to make it.
Making it was super easy, the hardest part was deciding what fabric to use. After deciding to use the floral fabric, the rest just fell together. All you need is cotton balls (I used some polyester filling), fabric, a jar with a mason lid, and a hot glue gun (I used Elmer's glue, I definitely suggest using a hot glue gun). You don't really need a tutorial to make your own. I had a tutorial pulled up, but all I ended up using from that tutorial was how big to cut the fabric.
Anyway, this is a functional and adorable piece of sewing equipment that every sewer should make for their next DIY project. It's easy, not expensive, and takes little effort to put together.
If you follow me on Pinterest, I'll be pinning this. Also, if you are viewing this on yo computer, there is a Pin button at the bottom of this post so you can pin this directly to your Pinterest Board. I hope that this inspired any of you sewers to create something similar!
