Fixing Album Art on iTunes

As I uploaded the Red Hot Chili Peppers CD By the Way and Nirvana's Nevermind to my iTunes library on my computer, I was given an awful surprise when I checked it's progress on my iPod. The library on my computer was not the same as the one on my iPod, so moving CD music from computer to iPod was difficult, but I was able to make it work, or so I thought. When I scrolled through my iPod to see if my RHCP songs had loaded, I saw that most of my album artwork was missing. Not having complete album art in my collection really bothers me, and I was getting very frustrated because I couldn't figure out why they weren't there. Then I realized that the only albums missing their pictures were ones that I had gotten off of CDs, and all the songs I purchased through iTunes still had their pictures.
Through the research I did, I couldn't figure out why it happened, but I found ways to fix the problem. I tried a few possible fixes, but none seemed to be working. I pieced together my own fix from the many sites I visited for answers.

First, I had to check a setting in iTunes that let me manually manage music.
After that, I tried right clicking the song and looked for the "Get album art" option, but this option wouldn't appear for the songs already on my iPod for some reason. Instead, I had to click the "Get Info" option after right clicking. Once on "Get Info", I had to manually add the artwork. For Sia's 1000 Forms of Fear, for example, I had to save an image of the album art to my computer, then while on "Get Info" click "add artwork" and choose the image I saved. This went down for each and every song that had missing album art. I figured out I could select several songs of the same album (and only of the same album)and do it at one time rather than putting the same image for each song individually. That saved a little time, but overall it took a long while and seemed unnecessary. Finally, after going through all my albums and double checking, the peace of my iPod was restored. For some reason, iTunes was unable to do it for me, even though the correct album art was with the correct albums before I plugged in my iPod. Now every time I plug in my iPod to the computer, I'm worried it will happen again. In fact, it did, but happened to ALL of my music. Fortunately, it fixed itself after a few minutes.
I really hope this will come in handy for someone! I know this would have been useful to find in one post rather than searching the webs for information. Let me know if this helped in the comments below and ask me if there is anything else I could help you with!!

Blurryface and Other Such Music

Holy hot dang! The newest album from Twenty One Pilots, Blurryface, is now available! Of course, I didn't have the finances to pre-order one, but now I can get the disc from Target. And though I have the songs, I've yet to get the physical CD.
At first I didn't like all the songs, but I've listened to the whole album and I love every single one. Fairly Local was one I didn't particularly like, but as it would pop up on shuffle, it grew on me. One song, Doubt, seemed kinda out there, but I also came to like that one as I heard it more. Honestly, all the songs are amazing and I've been listening to the album on repeat since I got it. The songs are still like their old ones, but fresh. They hold the same depth in meaning but are still new. I'm a pretty recent fan of Twenty One Pilots, but I have their albums Vessel and the one called Twenty One Pilots. I love their music and often listen to them on shuffle for long periods of time. Since I play the ukulele (more or less), I've learned a few of their songs since the singer, Tyler, plays the uke in some of the songs. On Blurryface, I've started to learn We Don't Believe What's On TV. Even though I cannot sing worth anything, I love to strum along with the music and just be able to play music I love. I also love the fact that the drummer, Josh, plays the trumpet for some of the new songs on Blurryface. I play the clarinet, but since the trumpet and clarinet are in the same key, I'll be able to play those songs, if I can ever find the sheet music.  If I could, I would try and learn how to play all their songs.
I literally love their music so much, but have zero merch. I guess that's the down side of having no finances. I go on their website (http://store.twentyonepilots.com/) and look at the beautiful things, my cursor hovering over the order button, but never actually clicking. Alas, I am not able to purchase anything until I can get a job. The vinyl of Blurryface looks soooo pretty and beautiful and amazing but 1) I have no money (as I have iterated many times) and 2) I have no record player *yet*. Even the CD looks gorgeous and I want it. I would like a tee shirt and hoodie and iPod case and a snapback. I don't even wear hats, but I would get a Twenty One Pilots hat. I have so little band merch for someone who listens and lives music. In my wardrobe I have a Red Hot Chili Peppers shirt, an Eminem shirt, and a Bastille tee (which I embroidered my self, as you can see in a soon-to-be post; this will be the link once I post it); a pretty crude collection of band-wear.
On the flip-flop, my disc collection is growing at an alarming rate, and I plan on posting a picture of all I own soon. The lil basket I have holding all that musical beauty is running out of room, so I'm gonna need a upgrade soon! I would also like to get a vinyl collection going, but again, my finances tell me to stick with CDs. I'm sure, one day in the great future, I will have my own place with an area for lovely records to be played and enough to afford all I can hold. I'm sure CDs will be out dated soon enough, as records are, but they will hold a special place in my heart, along with cassette tapes. Man, I love owning physical musics. Cassettes are aesthetically my favorite form of music.

If you want, leave your opinions (hopefully positive ones) in the comments below and let me know what you think of the new album. Maybe drop your favorite song or other artists you may like, I don't know. Okay, let me know if this is the kind of stuff you all like to read! Thanks!

I Still Exist?

Look who's back!
Yup, it's been quite awhile since I have last posted, well, anything! Since summer has started, I've been doing stuff. I was recently on vacation and was unable to post from where I was staying. But, I promise to get onto a schedule for posting. I'm hoping to get something regular going, nahmsayin? Like, I plan on having a certain type of post every Friday or so, and then I'll also have my whatever posts whenever. Would that be something you, my audience, would like? I feel like that would be better than me posting periodically, 'cause I always tell myself "Oh, later". If I have a set day to post, I'll actually do it. Yeah, I think I will do that. Okay, I guess I will come up with a schedule for new posts and let you all know about it once it is set. That should be fun!
Oh, and what do you people think of the new layout of What to Do? The new scheme and whatnot, is it better? Well. I'm glad I finally changed it. The old setup was getting old.

Okay I plan on starting my posting up again. I have a few new ones on the way, so stay tuned. I'll try not to disappear for too long again. Thanks so much for reading!
