Many Vinyl, and More to Come

all thanks to my Nana

To start off this great post, I shall say that I have finally gotten myself (via my grandmother) that record player I've been wanting. I can now, finally, play that Bastille Remixed LP. The player I got is a Crosley Executive USB Compatible Turntable, and I got it at a place called V-Stock in a mall. It has the aesthetic of an older record player, but can record any vinyl onto a computer and make it a digital file. From the reviews I've heard about the newer Crosley's I was slightly worried; reviews have said that the needle digs into the record and can ruin it, and that the sound quality isn't as great as the older models. But, I haven't had any issues. If anything, the only issue I've been having is I like the way the vinyl sounds better than the digital music I have on my iPod. I don't really remember why I wanted to collect records, but I want to so I am and I love it. I started with CDs, and vinyl is so satisfying for some reason. Everyone has their thing they collect and adore, mine is both CDs and LPs.
With a record player comes a multitude of vinyl, seeing how this is me were are talking about. My collection is small, but growing. As I get more records, I'll be doing posts about them. Right now I have four. But, I won't talk about all of them in this one post. If I want to be in depth, this would be one long post! So I decided to save your eyes and give each vinyl its own, individual post. I think that will be easier anyhow, talking about so many different bands in one post would get confusing. I already have other records on their way via mail. To get on a sort of schedule, I plan on posting a post for each vinyl I have as I get them, and releasing one of those posts each Friday. My other posts about fashion and random things will still be posted, and that will be whenever (but usually on Wednesdays). I've been going light on posting of late, so this should keep me from skipping a post for that week.

Okay, well, I hope this is interesting enough for you all to keep coming back! With each post about my records, I'm gonna include some recommendation information. What I mean by that is who I would recommend that particular album to, like by what you listen to. It'll make more sense when I post the post, so you'll just have to check back!

And here is a link to the brand of turntable I got (Crosley) in case any of you are looking into getting yourself a record player. I highly suggest it!

Like I said in my previous post, I'm posting the outfit I wore the day of my very first concert! Being my indecisive self, I wasn't sure what I wanted to go for; there are so many clothing choices. After much self debating, I decided to stick with a laid-back, chill yet comfortable style. To spice it up just a tad, I threw in some sparkle on my lids using Poppin' Pigments eye glitter. I felt I was looking borderline emo, so the bright color of the eye glitter and my unicorn shoes helped even out the look. But, once I got to the concert, I realized I was the least emo one there. Many music lovers were wearing tees of other bands, which I had debated and decided against. My all-time fav Nirvana shirt was going to be my statement piece but since I didn't have any merch for frnkireo and the cellabration, I wasn't going to wear any band merch. Of course, when I got there, I saw at least seven other people wearing Nirvana shirts. What a wasted opportunity, Elyse, wasted.
Anyhow, this is the lovely outfit I put together for my city outing. Enjoy, phrends.
