A year or so ago, I had a whole knitting kit: a book, two sets of needles, yarn, different darning needles, the works. But, I got so frustrated at my inability to learn to knit I tossed the book. Now, just recently, I decided I was finally going to put my needles and excess amount of yarn to use. With YouTube and my tools, I got to learning.
Pinterest helped me find good tutorials on casting, the actual knitting, and binding off. It took the use of a few different videos for me to fully understand technique and whatnot. I'm still no expert, by far! I know how to do knit stitch with and without a purl bump, as shown in the picture. The no-purl bump stitch requires me to use my left hand for knitting, which is quite hard! Again, I'm still not the best, but it's just a nice little hobby to do when I've got nothing better to do.
Well, I just wanted to update you guys on my crafting. I'll be including knitting to the different DIYs I post about now that I am able to knit. If I get a good project going, I might do a tutorial post about it. you never know.
