Blurryface LP with that CD

Previously I made a post about my love of twenty one pilots' newest album, Blurryface, expressing my deep want of owning the physical disc. Now, here I am, with both the Blurryface CD and LP. This will be a two-in-one post, I've the record to talk about and the CD (which I've been meaning to post about for a long while, boy I need to get on top of things).

Though I am jealous of the half red and black vinyl, I absolutely love the all black one I have. Actually, there are two records to fit the whole album. I was able to find this vinyl in store in a mall; I about flipped my lid. I love the order in which the songs are, they just flow together like a story. What I especially love is that the very last song is Goner, which ends with such a haunting beauty. The sound of vinyl is different than digital, in a good way. All the songs have, like, a strange twinge; I'm not really sure how to describe it. In Polarize there is a whole background piano part I'd never really paid attention to, but hearing it on vinyl really brings it out. The two ukulele based songs, The Judge and We Don't Believe What's on TV, sound almost live, it's wonderful. Ukulele has a unique sound that I love, and hearing those two songs from a record allows me to enjoy it even more. Even though what vinyl I have isn't as fancy, it still sounds amazing.

Not to forget my CD, which I had to order online. When the CD came out, I looked store to store, and yet it wasn't there. Then, when they finally had it in stock, holding it in my hand, I decided not to get it. What version they had at Target was too basic. It was just a jewel case, not the fancy, pretty, sleeved one. So, of course, I ended up ordering the stinkin' disc online via the twenty one pilots webstore. I'm glad I did though. It's so fancy and lovely.

Great additions to both of my collections.

My Favorite Songs on Blurryface:
  • The Judge~ sick ukulele (which I've learned to play ye) and a crazy vocal range
  • Heavydirtysoul~ sweet rap skillz, music sounds all over the place, legit lyrics
  • Not Today~ snazzy bass riffs, a contradiction, sweet little sounds
Honestly I love the whole album, but these are the ones I'd recommend (with a little description) to someone entering into the world of twenty one pilots.
The circles are just little windows in the cover, and the designs are on a little sheet that are in the sleeve of the cover. The basic version I found at Target didn't hold such treasures. (this is the circle designs from the vinyl cover, but the CD holds the same thing.)

Below is the same thing only without the red and black slip over it.
Comment your favorite song and band!

  1. My favorite song is Migraine by TØP. I hope you didn't get too disappointed by the fact that it is merely me who commented. I love your post though!!!
